Professional Tools, Professional Quality

Below are the tools we use to get the job done. Each one is explained so you know exactly how it’s used. We’ve found that providing this information helps our customers better understand our process.

Professional Tools

Dehumidifier

A dehumidifier is an electrical appliance that reduces and maintains the humidity level in the air, usually for health or comfort purposes. It eliminates musty odors and prevents the growth of mildew. Dehumidifiers are used in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This machine is key to the drying process and must be used as soon as possible after water damage to stop mold and mildew from spreading.

Air Mover

An air mover is a portable device that accelerates evaporation by circulating airflow. These units are especially useful in carpet cleaning and water restoration projects. They can dry large areas of carpeting, drywall, and other materials quickly while using minimal electricity. Air movers are most effective when used together with dehumidifiers to speed up the drying process.

Air Scrubber

Also known as a negative air machine, an air scrubber is a portable filtration system that removes particles, gases, and chemicals from the air in a contained space. These machines use multiple filters to trap microscopic particles, allowing only clean air to pass through. The process reduces the spread of contaminants during restoration and cleanup.

Moisture Meter

A moisture meter measures the amount of moisture within building materials. This tool is used throughout the drying process to track and document progress, ensuring materials are returning to safe levels.

Hygrometer

A hygrometer measures the humidity level in the air. It ensures equipment is functioning properly and allows us to monitor the performance of dehumidifiers on a daily basis.

Infrared Camera

The FLIR E5 with Wi-Fi is a powerful infrared camera designed for diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and building issues. With its 10,800 (120 x 90) pixel infrared detector, it quickly identifies hidden problems and records accurate temperature readings across a surface. This tool is invaluable in detecting water damage not visible to the naked eye.
